This is an informational posting from Sunrise Door Software that we
believe affects both users and Sysops/Administrators.

In case you are not aware, the Telnet protocol handler is no longer
supported in Internet Explorer 7. I will leave the speculation as to why
Microsoft decided to do this to others, but there is a fix available to
rectify this insane decision.

A fix is available at:

http://www.lib.berkeley.edu/Catalogs/ie7_telnet.html

After installing the fix just close internet explorer 7 and restart it.
Telnet will work, only bug is that it launches a seperate telnet client like
secureCRT, but you can also use cmd.exe dos and type: telnet 192.168.1.1 or
telnet hostname.com and you'll go. I think there is a way to setup dos as
your default telnet but I am not sure how. If you go to www.download.com
you can find tons of telnet clients... Enjoy!
